Still life charcoal drawing: Basket, Flower buds, flower, pine cone, bell pepper, feather and lemon quarter. I used white chalk to for highlights (brightest areas), and compressed charcoal for the deepest shadows.
This was a very enjoyable assignment at the BAC in Boston, but it was pretty difficult. All the still life is metallic and the assignment was to draw reflections. It took about 3 classes to complete on a 24" x 36" sketch pad. It took a long time to get the still life to look like silver and to show the reflections properly. The water carafe was the hardest part, but I am very happy with how it turned out in the end ;)
